At the young age of 13 he bought his first drum kit, and soon joined his first rock and roll band, “Fig Fantasy”, which was order lioresal intrathecal heavily influenced by the psychedelic era of rock. After a short while, he relinquished his position as the drummer to become the lead singer for the group. Throughout their high school years, the band was relatively successfulAconsidering their ages, and they played at many venues all over the peninsula area. Don realized at a very young age he had a passion for music, loved performing in front of live audiences, and dreamed of being a rock star someday. When he turned 18, Don joined the Air Force. He played in a few bands, mostly as a lead singer and rhythm guitarist. He also did some solo gigs while in the service, but it was hard to keep any consistency because of being transferred and uprooted often. Not long after his discharge from the Air Force, he was married and started a family. He continued to dabble in music, writing a few songs, and performing occasionally, but working as a firefighter, going to college, and raising a family took time and energy away from Don’s music ambitions. It was only in the last few years, after his retirement from the fire department, that Don was finally able to devote the time needed to be a quality working musician. Since then he has been a drumming vocalist in two really good bands in the Modesto, California area. His last band, “Southern Bend” was selected to open a show at the Gallo Center in Modesto for country singer/songwriter and recording artist Phil Vassar. Between stints drumming for these two bands, Don performed at several local festivals and private parties doing vocals and guitar work as a solo act. After leaving his last band, Don has been working diligently on getting a huge list of awesome songs together, andApolishing his act as a singer. He has been performing at as many parties and events that he can. When he’s not doing a live show, he’s either practicing and learning even more new songs, or busy writing and in the studio recording his own tunes. Music has been one of Don’s greatest passions in life, andAhe conveys thatAemotion when he is singing for a live audience.AThe greatest reward for him is to share the gift of music with others, to put a smile on their faces and a song in their hearts.
